Tubes

This week Addison had tubes put in her ears. We are hoping and praying that this will end the numerous amount of ear infections that we have been dealing with.

Addison continues to AMAZE me. She was such a trooper while we were at the medical center. Most of the other kids were crying and throwing fits. Addison had a joyful spirit even though we had been awake since 2:30 am. She said "good morning" to all the doctors and nurses. The nurses and doctors told us she would probably be crying in the recovery room but when we walked in the nurse was holding our sweet sweet girl. She was sleeping so peacfully. When I woke her up she just snuggled closer to me. She drank some apple juice, ate some crackers and we were free to go.

I am so grateful to our Father in heaven that He has given our precious baby girl a sweet spirit. We love her so much. I just pray that Addison's baby brother will be blessed with that same sweet spirit.

Glad to hear that went well! No matter how old they are we hate to see them hurt. My twelve year old had strep this weekend. I felt so bad for her because she was so sick. She made it a point to tell me today that she would have to stay home from school tomorrow because she had to be out twenty four hours from the time she was officially diagnosed. I think that was all she heard the doctor say :)

Glad your daughter's doing so well and back home. She sounds like a fantastic trooper. I remember tubes when I was 6 because of infections and my teacher noticing I didn't always seem like I was hearing everything. When I first got home from the hospital I remember being shocked by how loud things like the radiator were. Apparently the tubes made a huge difference. Good luck to your daughter.
