Ok, so life got in the way of finishing my graduate degree but I am now finally doing it. After a two year hiatus I am taking my last class. My original cohort graduated in the spring of 2009, I however was busy taking care of my sweet baby girl who was diagnosed with heart failure. She had a very successful open heart surgery on May 20, 2009.
I am happy to report that my sweet baby girl is now a VERY healthy and BUSY 2 year old. We are expecting her baby brother to arrive on May 16th at 11:15 am (scheduled C-Section)
When I found out we were expecting baby #2, I made a promise to myself and to my husband that I would finally finish my degree.
I am enjoying the 2.0 class. It is re-igniting my fire for technology in the classroom.

Stacie,
Congratulations on the baby news and on your return to your degree program!
Jessica from your 2.0 class
That's wonderful news about your daughter. I've met many bereaved parents of kids with heart failure and it's so refreshing to hear a success story. I understand the feeling of putting off finishing your degree. Although I got my credential 7 years ago, I knew that I needed my master's to teach on the East Coast. Still, for seven years I made excuses and avoided it. Once I started, it hasn't been too bad, but I'm really looking forward to being done this summer!

Great news about your new addition to your family and your healthy daughter! I began my graduate degree before Hurricane Katrina and had to start over when I moved here to Georgia. I am glad it's about to be completed.
